Is Miniso's Moisturizing Spray Worth It?

Last February, I went to Miniso to shop some aesthetic and affordable room decorations. While I was scanning, I was surprised that they have beauty products. After a few minutes of searching, their Moisturizing Spray caught my eyes.

Packaging ⬇

The packaging is very simple and minimal. It has the product's name on the front and wrapped by a white paper with rose petals printed on it. It contains 150 ml, which is not bad for its price. The ingredients, cautions, expiration date, and other details were written at the back of the product.

My Thoughts ⬇

Before, I'm really struggling on how to prevent my skin from being dry and unhealthy. Like most of teenagers, one of my common problems is my pimples and acne. The first time I tried this, I was a bit uncomfortable with the scent. It smells like a flower from funerals (sorry). I'm kind of hesitant at first to use it regularly but I'm glad I took the risk. After a week of trying, my skin was rejuvenated. It became smoother and it also minimized the appearance of my pimples. For the price, this product is very suitable for students like me because it's affordable and high quality.

Am I Gonna Recommend It To Other People?

Obviously, yes.

PACKAGING

This velvet lipstick comes with a frosted packaging and has a very minimal design. Shades are written at the bottom of the lipstick. Also, be careful because the shade name might be removed easily.

Same with the velvet lipstick, this retractable lip liner also has a cute packaging and comes with a blackpink vibe. Unfortunately, it doesn't have shade names written on it but a sticker containing the shade color which is easily to remove.

THOUGHTS

It glides on the lips smoothly even without applying any lip balm. It doesn't cling to any dry patches of my lips. Aside from that, the pigment is a bomb! It can really cover your lips in just one swipe. What I love the most about this lippie is that it's hydrating and long-lasting. However, it's not transfer proof, which is accepted because it's has a velvet formula. It doesn't also have a weird smell.

To sum it up, this is worth-buying for. It hydrates your lips, super pigmented, very lightweight, and has a cloud-like formula. The shades are also nice and perfect for every Filipina.

For just P295, you can now have a velvet lipstick and a retractable lip liner.

NIVEA MICELLAR SKIN BREATHE REVIEW

Nivea Micellar Skin Breathe Water is one of the most raved cleanser lately. A lot of beauty b/vloggers added this in their skin care routine. Is it really effective?

I have been using this for how many months now and I can say that it lessen the skin bumps on my face and effectively removes some oil on my skin. The first time I used it, I was surprised that it doesn't have any strong smell and I didn't feel any tightness on my face.

ACCORDING TO THE WEBSITE'S DESCRIPTION

NIVEA Daily Essentials Caring Micellar Cleansing Water was specially formulated as a fast, effective and caring cleanser and make-up remover. It contains microscopic cleansing agents known as micelles. Micelles help remove make-up, even waterproof eye make-up and mascara. The technology of Micellar Water allows the removal of oil and other impurities from the skin in a flash.

The best Micellar Water will deeply cleanse the skin in one easy step while also gently moisturising. Because of the innovative technology, it is very mild yet highly effective. Use Micellar Water with a single cotton pad without any need for rinsing off or rubbing. It will leave your skin feeling soft and refreshed.

PACKAGING

The packaging is so simple - product is in a blue bottle with a white cap. It has Nivea's logo and "MicellAIR Skin Breathe, Acne Clear, 0% alcohol" information on it. However, ingredients, benefits, and method on how to apply are written at the back.

MY THOUGHTS?

After my first try, I felt my face relieved and freshen. Given that I have a lot of pimples, when I applied it, I didn't feel any poignant and tightness. It really has no alcohol content in the product which is a big check for me.

This cleanser is so perfect for those people who are putting a heavy make up because it really removes the product in your face and helps in freshening up. Aside from that, this effectively works on sensitive skin because it has Vitamin E and Natural Almond Oil that soothe and provides moisture. There are 3 types of Nivea Micellar Water depending on the skin types.

To sum it all, I totally recommend this product to you. This perfectly prevents skin bumps, soften your face after a long day, and clearly removes dirt on your face. In additional, the price is budget-friendly for students.

How I Edit My Instagram Photos (Pastel Feed) + Tips + Preset Giveaway

PASTEL FEED TUTORIAL

It's finally here! These past few weeks, I often get a message on instagram asking the filter that I used on my photos and how I do it. If you're one of them, just keep on reading...

I also had a poll on my instagram stories yesterday and it seems like you guys are excited to know on how I edit my photos. But before that, I'm gonna give some tips on how you'll achieve a good quality photo.

P.S: I have a Nadine-inspired preset giveaway at the end of this blog.

1. Lighting is life!

If you want to take a good, clean photo you must use natural lightning. Avoid using too much sunlight because this gives a yellow tone which I really really dislike. You can take a photo outside or use an artificial light (take note: white light).

2. Style and Location

It's very important to know your style. This will be your edge from others. For me, I always look for an inspiration on instagram or pinterest and save them afterwards. Moreover, you do not need to go to an expensive restaurant just to have a good food flatlay or picture. You can find a lot of instagrammable places that are less expensive. Money is not necessary, having a creative mind is.

3. Camera

You don't need an expensive camera just to have a good photo. Oppo and Huawei are two of the most raved phones by bloggers because of it's camera quality. Adjust the settings of your camera that perfectly suits the actual image you want to be taken. You can take as much as you want and choose the nicest photo you took.

4. Be Creative

It doesn't really matter if you are in a high-class restaurant and has an expensive camera. Anyone can express themselves through photography using a natural lighting, simple background, and cellphones. Being creative is the key to a successful instagram feed. You can have a lot of inspirations, but you have to make your own version.

Step 1. Download Adobe Lightroom CC (Available to all Android, IOS, and desktop)

Step 2. Upload a photo you want to edit.

Step 3. Click light. Adjust the exposure to 0.73 (depends on the phot0), tone down the contrast and highlights. Make the shadow to +20, lower down the whites, and adjust the blacks to +20.

Step 4. Go to color. Adjust the temperature to +20, tint to +10, and vibrance to +20.

Step 5. Click the mixing color palette on the upright corner. Play with the colors of your photo and decide if what it suits the most. You just have to use the first six colors to adjust. Always remember not to include any strong green and red because these colors may ruin the photo.

Additional tip (Optional):

You can download Planoly app on Playstore or Appstore to make sure that the photo you are going to upload will match the theme of your feed.

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser Review

I have been using this cleanser for almost a 2 months now but I didn't have a chance to put up a review about it since I'm busy with school. When I visited my dermatologist, she told me that I have hormonal imbalance which is the reason why I'm prone to pimples. She asked me to try Cetaphil cleanser if it's effective on me.

According to the website's description:
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is a mild, non-irritating formulation that soothes skin as it cleans. In fact, it's gentle enough for baby's delicate skin. Designed specifically to work for all skin types, it is a simple, yet highly effective way to are for your skin.
It is their best seller and fan favorite.
As gentle as it gets - soothes and cleanses, leaving skin smooth and soft.
Mild, soap-free formula cleanses without irritation - it won't strip skin of it's natural protective oils or emollients.
Moisturizes without leaving residue that can clog pores.

The size that I got is 118 mL and costs P320.00. I was surprised when I found out that it was scentless and doesn't feel heavy on my skin. I thought I was only gonna use it for weeks but surprisingly, it's almost 2 months given that I only used half of it yet.

PACKAGING
The packaging is just a simple white bottle and has Cetaphil's logo in front with informations about the product including the benefits, directions, and ingredients. Although the packaging is simple, it is still raved by a lot of people because of it's effectiveness.

THOUGHTS
After few days of trying it, I noticed that my pimples dried quickly and prevented it's appearance. Also, it doesn't foam unlike other cleanser. It's claim of not clogging pores was actually true. You won't feel any tightness on your face after usage.

I love this cleanser, really. This is so perfect to those people who only wants a simple skin care routine and sensitive to strong products. As for the price, it's very worth it for the quality.

But for those people who are fond of using heavy make ups, this cleanser is not enough to remove the products you used.

Now I know why it is raved by most beauty bloggers. What are you waiting for? Try it now before everyone does.

LUSTROUS by Nadine Lustre

Nadine Lustre, a multi-hyphenate artist, recently launched out her collaboration with the Australian make-up brand BYS, the LUSTROUS. According to Nadine, "Lustrous" just came out of her mind when she was asked to name her product. Aside from that, these make-ups are also inspired by fantasy characters like mermaids. Nadine, being an adventurous and island person, personally chose the design, texture, and products according to her characteristics.

Since I won @smbeautyph's lustrous glam box giveaway, I decided to blog about this to help JaDine fans and other people who are fond of make-up if this kit is really worth it.

THE BOX

The packaging was designed by Nadine's friend, Soleil Ignacio. Since Lustrous was inspired by Nadine's personality, which is being a Thalassophile, a person who loves oceans and seas, the over-all design really gives you a summer and tropical vibes. The letters were gold and engraved that makes the glam box elegant. Also, the tropical leaves added class to the kit.

THE BRUSHES

These unicorn brushes are only included if you'll buy the kit, these are not available individually. As usual, the gold color makes the brushes classy. Lustrous and Nadine's signature are written at the flat part of it. The brushes are so smooth and fluffy. I suggest you should use these to apply your contour, highlight, and eye shadow instead of using the brushes that comes off with the palettes since these are more comfortable and appropriate to use (for me).

THE BROW-GEL

The lustrous eyebrow-gel design is likely BYS' brow-gel. It has a brush at the top of the container, but I don't think it's nice to use it since it's not angled, so I recommend you to get a brush that you're comfortable to use for doing your brows. If you have this brow-gel, be careful of dipping your applicator because it is creamier than you ever thought. The tip is, spread it on your palm first before applying it since a small amount has a big impact already. When it comes to the shade, there's no problem because it's actually great! But as I have said, you need more practice if you'll use this as an eyebrow gel.

THE MASCARA

This void mascara is perfect for those people who want their eyelashes to appear longer. I think this is a lengthening mascara because it can make your eyes alive, but just be careful because it might smudge if you're not gonna move it while applying. The good thing about this mascara is, it is WATERPROOF. So worry no more if you'll gonna sweat or get wet everywhere you go.

THE HIGHLIGHT X BRONZER PALETTE

The Highlight x Bronzer Palette is my favorite from the lustrous kit. The first 3 shades are for highlights while the last 2 shades are for contouring. The highlights are the bomb especially the pearl white shade. You can also use the 2nd shade as a blush since it is pinkish and there's no blush on product. And for the contour shades, apply a small amount only since it's too strong and pigmented. TIP! You can use the contour shades as a base of your eye make up if you want to apply a matte before putting a shimmer eye shadow. The good thing in this palette is, it gives you a natural and tanned look. I'm telling you, this is one of the products that you must have.

THE EYESHADOW PALETTE

This eye shadow palette is called the CALYPSO palette from Lustrous. This palette has no matte shades because Nadine intentionally selected a shimmery formula to represent her personality; being adventurous, creative, and fond of fantasy sea characters. The colors are neutral and earthy. It also comes off with a brush but as usual, you can use other brushes if ever you have because it's too thin (for me). Tip: You can use your finger as an applicator to control and avoid fall outs.

THE LIP & CHEEK TINT

This is the tint that is included in the lustrous kit, the RAW lip & cheek tint. This shade is like a blood when you apply it on your lips, so I suggest, you just deep a small amount and then spread it. Take note, if your lips are dry, moisturize it using lip balm for a perfect application and result. As for me, I don't think it is good to use it as a cheek tint since it is very dark and bloody. But if you're adventurous enough, why not?

To sum it all, it's better to buy this glam box instead of purchasing the individual products because it will surely cost you too much. Aside from that, most of the products are really great from the packaging to the texture and formula. Like Nadine, Lustrous is perfect for morena girls.

Masamirey Cove Resort: A Hidden Gem of Pangasinan

Hunkering to have a vacation with an instagrammable resort, cerulean pool, and an all out Balesin experience, My family and I planned to have a trip last month. It wasn't an easy voyage, considering the 4-5 hours ride from our hometown, which is Mapandan, but the Balesin vibes and the paradise waiting for us made it all worth it.

Elucidate by its cozy yet palatial tropical villas, this resort is perfect for Travel and Fashion bloggers because of its instagram-worthy attics and suitable for people who want to have a tranquil staycations. There's an azure infinity pool waiting for everyone; a native cabanas for the people who want to enjoy the serene moments by the beach; and a sapphire sea overlooking by the pool. Its a paradise that is yet to be discovered. A hidden gem of Pangasinan. Presenting to you, the Masamirey Cove Resort.

THE LOCATION

Masamirey Cove gives you an all out Balesin experience. It is located at Sual, Pangasinan next to the famous Alaminos City, which is the home of one of the tourist spots in the Philippines, the Hundred Islands. It screams opulence and elegance.

The resort is owned by Sual's town mayor. However, JC Arcinue (son of the mayor) is the one who's managing it. It is somehow far from the town and is situated at Masamirey Beach in Brgy. Baybay Norte, Sual Pangasinan. I felt a little appall while we're on our way but the fresh wind and beautiful scenery fade it away.

THE BALESIN-LIKE POOL

The Balesin-like pool is the one that accentuate the resort. I fell in love with it because it makes my whole existence calm. Also, hearing the gentle winds of coconuts and beach waves made it more edgy. Aside from that, there is a life guard who is always stationed at the side of the pool so you need not to worry on your kids or friends.

Want to watch the sunrise or sunset? There's no problem with that because there are cabanas and sun beds at the back of the pool where you can enjoy watching the sunrise or sunset and the whole beauty of Masamirey.

THE AZURE BEACH

I consider this as the highlight of our Masamirey Trip. The sapphire beach, ambiance, and fresh winds are worth it despite of the long ride. It is away from the city and a perfect place for soul searching. Since the beach isn't discovered yet, it is also worth a nice morning walk. Aside from that, there's a lot of activities waiting for you.

PS: You can also catch a lot of sea creatures along the shore.
